Fun in the Sun!

July 3rd we loaded the van and headed down to the beach. Chad's parents were in Panama City so we drove down to spend a few days with them before we headed over to Orange Beach to spend the week with my parents and brother and Shea.

Sadly, Panama City was pretty much a bust because is RAINED the ENTIRE time we were there. Parker was so ready to plan on the beach but instead we were stuck inside. Preston had gotten sick a day or two before we left with a cold and ear infection so we just hung out with his parents inside and let Preston have some rest.

The unit where his parents were staying had a golf cart so that provided LOTS of entertainment during the rainy days. All the boys, including Chad, left the beach ready to purchase our own!

After our visit in Panama City we drove over to Gulf Shores to meet my parents on Saturday.( My brother and Shea came Tuesday night.)

Unfortunately, we battled lots of rain this week as well but it was not a total wash out and we did have some nice days scattered throughout the week. Preston was actually sicker by this time so he spend lots of time in the condo. Poor guy..

The Manchester's were down at the same time so we took advantage and met up at Adventure Island. The arcade was a big hit and the go cart races were pretty heated!

Before we went to the beach, Parker was obsessed with getting a sharks tooth necklace because Edward got one when he went a few weeks before. Of course he wore it once and hasn't even thought of it since. That's $10 down the drain. :)

Waiting to eat at LuLu's can be boring.

Cute little sandy toes.

Summer Fun Update

Visiting a zoo is on our summer bucket list so I decided that we should load up and head to the Memphis Zoo. This was actually our second zoo trip of the summer because we went to the Indianapolis zoo two weeks ago when we went to visit our friends.

I hadn't been to the Memphis zoo since I was a little girl so I didn't really know much about it. I think that I get as excited as the kids. I love me a zoo! It's a big place and it was hot but we still had a really good time. I didn't take many pictures but here a few.

They had an awesome giraffe feeding exhibit so we had to do it! $5.00 to get licked by a giraffe, why not? :)

The kids, as well as GeeBee, loved it!

Even though it was 90 degrees and stinky, Parker and I decided to take a ride on Henry the camel. I mean, when else could you ride a camel. I was actually surprised that Parker got on. It was pretty tall and a little scary but he seemed to like it!

He's growing up before my very eyes.

This boy LOVES his passy.

We haven't been able to spend much time with our best buddy Edward due to crazy summer schedules but we are hoping that will change soon.

We went to the Marriott splash pad with a few friends a few weeks ago. We had never been. I think it opened when we were in Indiana. Anyway... The kids weren't fans.

Preston was literally blown over by the cannon force water spray and Parker said it was too crowded. I think we will stick to the one in Muscle Shoals.

Anytime I get out my camera or my phone, this is what Preston does. He says cheeeeese!!! really load and gives me the biggest smile. I think it's precious!

We are having a fun summer so far and I hope that you are too!

Go Twins!

Parker played TBall for the first time this Spring and it was so much fun to watch! We were blessed to be on the team with some of our dearest friends.

Go Twins!

Silly Boys!!

This little stinker was into EVERYTHING at the ball field! I was so thankful for grandparents who followed and chased him all over the place so I could watch the game.

Mother's Day

This little cutie bug is 14 months old now. Time is a flyin! Even though he keeps me on my toes, he sure is a sweetie!

He is teething like crazy right now and the poor thing still only has 2 teeth. All of his friends at church have a mouth full! But don't let that fool you, those two little teeth are put to work. This kid loves to eat and he will pretty much eat anything! If you are eating, he wants a bite.

We had a wonderful Mother's Day this past weekend. I am so honored that God heard our prayers over 4 years ago for children. Chad and I are so thankful to have these two little miracles.

Silly Faces!

And now we are mad!
I sure do love these guys!
