Preston's 1 Month Update (2 weeks late)
I can't believe that Preston is already one month old! (He will actually be 6 weeks old tomorrow so I'm late posting this!)
This first month has been such a joy. We were blessed to have both sets of grandparents stay with us after Preston's arrival which was so helpful. One of my biggest concerns before the birth was how Parker would adjust. Having undivided attention from the grandparents made Parker's life pretty great! He didn't even seen to notice the baby.
For the most part, Preston has been a great sleeper. I think that he might be hitting a growth spurt right now though because he is wanting to eat every 2 hours again. He will sleep for a four hour stretch now which is nice... I am dreaming of an entire nights sleep though... The lack of sleep is starting to catch up with me now.
He is also a good eater. We are breastfeeding now. Not sure how long I'll stick with it but for now, it's fine. I am also pumping so he can practice taking a bottle. He prefers to nurse, but he will take a bottle which is great! I need some breaks!
He has rolled over from his belly to his back twice. He did it the first time at 3 weeks...
He is in size 1 diapers.
At his one month check up (which we actually went to at 5 weeks) he weighed 10 pounds and 11 ounces.
He is smiling now. I caught one of his first real smiles with the camera. My dad was holding him and he was just grinning away. It was precious.
He loves to watch and listen to Parker. I am sure that Parker will provide endless entertainment for him for years to come! :)
He made is first trip to Alabama at 3.5 weeks old. He did GREAT on the drive. We only had to stop one time to feed him.
He hated his first bath that we gave him when we got home from the hospital but he seems to like them more now.
A full belly at bath time!
I caught him smiling at my dad. Isn't that sweet?
Parker and Julianna. The Manchesters came to visit the first half of Spring Break. We loved having them here with us!
This picture makes me laugh. Preston is screaming his head off and Parker is just happy as can be.
My precious boys. I am so thankful for these gifts that the Lord has blessed me with.
