This post is a little overdue. We celebrated Parker's 4th birthday the night before the movers came to Indiana. It was a wonderful night visiting with our friends. Goodbye hugs were flowing.. Along with a few tears. It was such a special experience for our family.
In the midst of all of the moving craziness, I wanted Parker to have a special party. We invited 16 friends and rented a party room at Monkey Joe's. To say he had fun is an understatement! The kid was pouring wet with sweat within the first 5 minutes of the party.
I wanted to look back at a few pictures of my precious baby.
This is Parker in the hospital. He was such a beautiful baby!
Turning 2! We had a Blue's Clues birthday party.
Parker at his 3rd Birthday. It was a Lightning McQueen party.
Some of Parker's most precious friends were able to come. Some from the neighborhood and some from school. Katie and Max are in the picture and they were his closest friends. They both lived in our neighborhood.
Of course Preston was dressed in Batman gear too!
Here are just a few of my most precious friends.
Mommy loving on Preston. I got more pictures of Preston because we couldn't get Parker to slow down!
Maddie and Emma
Parker and Katie
Isn't she precious??? We are already really missing her and her mommy!
Picking out the perfect piece of cake!
So many precious friends!
We decided to go all out with the Batman theme!
I wish that I had the words to articulate how much we love you. You are growing into such a big boy. You have had so much change in your four short years with moving but you have always handled it with maturity. Mommy and Daddy are so thankful for that.
We know that you will probably not have too many memories of Indiana as you get older but I hope you know what a special time it was for our family. It was very hard to leave Alabama but God blessed us with precious new friends that we loved like family.
You make us laugh everyday. You live up to the Parker name by "filling a room with sound" but we wouldn't have it any other way. We are excited to see life back in Alabama.
You are a precious child that is loved more than you will ever comprehend.
Happy 4th Birthday, Parker Holt!

Dear Sweet Preston,
You are now 9 months old! I am so sorry sweet little man but I missed your 7th and 8th month update. Life has been absolutely crazy!! Your daddy got a new job and we moved from Indiana back to Alabama. While this is great news, we will really miss our "yankee" friends! :) It is also sad to think that you won't have any memories of your first house. We loved our time in Indiana but the main reason it was so wonderful is because God brought you to us while we were there!
One of the great things about living in Indianapolis is that it's a big city and there are so many fun things to see and do. We visited the Children's Museum often. Mommy just let you get out of the stroller recently and you loved exploring and playing with all of the toys in the baby area. Big Brother loved watching you play in there as well. You weren't shy around the "new friends" in the room and you we having a hard time sharing the ball. I guess we will have to work on that! :)
Oh me, little man.... Will you ever sleep again? Our life is been out of routine and we haven't slept in the same place consistently in months. This has affected your sleep!! You rarely take a good nap. They typically are 20-30 minutes long. You need more rest and mommy needs more mommy time! You are now waking up constantly during the night. We now break every rule we said that we would never break. You very often end up in our bed. Mommy and Daddy are exhausted! Daddy even took a nap this afternoon and Daddy never naps! Please start sleeping. We are hoping that you will like your new room at the new house and you will start sleeping again. We get to move in December 27th!
Thankfully you do sleep in the car. Look at those chunky cheeks!
You love to be outside. If you are fussy, you will immediately smile if we walk you outside.
You really love your mommy and daddy and you are beginning to notice when we aren't around. You will say MaMa and DaDa. You also said Bye Bye for the first time yesterday. You will also do a precious little wave when we say Bye Bye.
You weighed 20.2 pounds at your 9 month check up. You wear 12-18 month clothes and size 3 diapers although they seem to be getting tight.
You still ADORE your brother. You are now a crawler and started a few weeks ago. You will follow him everywhere. Big Brother gets frustrated sometimes but he loves to play with you. Your smiles are a mile wide when Parker is talking to you.
As you can tell from your pictures, you love to eat! You are taking 4 bottles a day and we are doing 3 meals a day as well. You will pretty much eat anything. Mommy is determined to make sure you aren't a picky eater like Parker so I am giving you lots of different types of food. You will still eat baby food but you prefer food you can pick up with your hands. Yogurt Melts are your favorite.
Some foods you really like are:
any baby food although the green veggies are your least favorite
any kind of bread/biscuits
You still don't have any teeth but you have been trying to cut the bottom two for what seems like forever!
You bring so much joy to our lives. I simply can't imagine life without you. You are a perfect you and we love you!

I looked back and found these pictures of Parker. I mean bless him... Look at that big ole head! He was around 10 months old here in these.
Preston is getting some good wear out of that same shirt this month. I'll have to take a picture of Preston wearing it and post them together.
Brotherly Love! Happy Fall ya'll!!
Here is sweet little Preston at 7 months old.

We headed out to the pumpkin patch yesterday. We are trying to make the most of all of the great things to do here in Indianapolis since we will be leaving soon. :) I need to post about that soon.
Parker and Preston had tons of fun. The weather was fantastic and it wasn't too crowded. Unfortunately, I developed a migraine while we were there but I was able to push through and survive the day.
Of course, we rode the hay ride.
The best family photo we could get.
We picked the perfect pumpkin.
This was right as Preston decided to try to eat the grass!
Parker rode a pony!
Parker and daddy cruisin down the slide!
And the perfect way to end the day, donuts! They have the most amazing donuts!

I can't believe it but you are now 6 months old. Time is just flying by!
You are such a joy and I must say, have the best smile in the world! You can light up a room!
Your monthly pictures are getting harder as you have become quite the wiggle worm! Thank goodness GeeBee was on the couch to help out!
By far your favorite person is Parker. Your eyes will follow him everywhere he goes. I know that once you start crawling, you will be Parker's shadow. I'm sure you will drive him crazy.
I think that I am going to have to keep an extra eye on you because you love to put everything in your mouth. I don't remember Parker being so fascinated with slobbering on everything!
You are drooling like crazy! The teething process is in full force. Parker was teething for MONTHS though before he actually got a tooth. I think he was around 10 months before the first one came in. I am wondering if it will take you as long.
You are still taking five 6 ounce bottles a day. You are totally a formula baby now. We stopped nursing around 4.5 months. You didn't seem to even notice the transition. You eat rice cereal with some fruit in the morning and a veggie in the evening. You have like everything so far EXCEPT the green ones! Your big brother was the same way. He despised the green veggies too. Maybe you will grow to like them. Mommy sure hopes so!
I am not sure what you weigh because we don't go for your 6 month check up for another week or so but you are a chunky monkey! You have the cutest rolls on your legs!
I mean, do I even need to say it?? You have the most beautiful blue eyes! You melt mommy's heart every day!
You said Ma Ma the other day for the first time and have since said Da Da too. (But we must note that you said Ma Ma first!) You are constantly "talking" and making noise. You are a very noisy baby. Big Brother was the same way too! I have a feeling that it's going to be loud in this house for years to come!
You are still a great sleeper at night. We put you down between 8-9 in the evening and you will sleep until 8ish the next morning. Mommy and Daddy are very thankful.
Now, you do need to work on napping better during the day. You think it's ok to take a 30 minute nap and then not sleep anymore. Mommy is not ok with this! :) Mommy is about to have to start letting you cry it out.
You love to be outside. We go for lots of walks and spend tons of time at the neighborhood playground. You are always so content in the stroller.
You are trying to sit up on your own but you are still wobbly. I think you will get it soon though.
Of all the toys you have, your feet are your favorite thing to play with. You love to hold them while you are eating a bottle.
Mommy and Daddy love you and Parker more than you will ever know!
